Tip of the week for February 14th

by Beth Anderson, owner of Singlocity

Tip of the week:  Live the life you love and love the life you live, period.

I saw this bumper sticker last summer and it me gave lots of food for thought.  I really began looking at what this meant to me and whether I was living the life I loved.  I had just gotten through many challenges and I thought to myself, how can I change this around so I can have the best life possible?  I began to look at all aspects of my life, both personal and business.  Many things became clear, changes needed to be made.  So I began my journey of shaping the life I want to live and to enjoy the endeavor.  It certainly hasn't happened over night and it is still evolving.  However, as I ask myself this question each day, I move towards more of what I want to do and what I enjoy doing as well.  This is one of the reasons why I started Singlocity.  I am enjoying providing information to singles to help them move towards living the life they deserve and love.

Here are a few tips to move you towards living the life you love.

~~ Take an honest look at your life.  Take some time and list the things you life about your life and the things you don't like about your life.  Look at how you can change the things you don't like and how you can cultivate more of what you do like.
~~  Ask yourself the question every day, what would your life look like if you were living the life you loved in that moment.
~~  Pretend you are already living this life you love.  Have you ever heard the phrase, fake it until you make it?  Get into the feeling of what it would be like if you were living the life you loved.
~~  Start making small changes.  Don't go big at first.  Make them small steps and this will move you forward into better things in your life
~~  Remember, having fun and feeling good is the goal.  If it doesn't feel good and you are not having fun, don't do it.
~~  It should be easy.  If you are feeling like you are paddling a boat up river, then it is time to change course.  Make it easy on yourself.

Now, get out there and start living the life you love and don't let anything stop you.  Don't forget to have fun.
